Just do it

At times I feel like a hypocrite when I talk about Compassion International. Honestly, I’m not a very good sponsor. I forget to write, I forget to pray, right now we only sponsor one kid, the $38 just auto-drafts every month and with everything else in my life, I struggle to get emotionally invested.

This month, though, they sent new pictures of Barnabus. I couldn’t believe how old he looked, he’d grown up so much from the first picture we got of him as a little boy. I don’t know much about him – but I know he has food and medical care and education. I know he’s still alive. I know he was at high-risk for exploitation and we’re reducing that risk.

I guess what I’m trying to say is, don’t wait to be “called” or for the right timing or for warm fuzzies.

Just do it. Save a life.
